To preview Hillary Clinton’s acceptance tonight of the Democratic party’s nomination for President, leaders will discuss this historic moment in time for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. They will outline the high stakes of this election impacting this community, now the fastest growing minority group in the United States. Hillary Clinton is the first female presidential nominee of a major party.

America’s Opportunity Fund hosted an activist training on how AAPIs can make the difference in races up and down the ballot. The training covered polling, research, fundraising rules and communications.

Dim Sum Community Luncheon
The Philadelphia AAPI Community hosted a Dim Sum Community Luncheon attended by local AAPI community leaders and visiting delegates and officials. Highlights included remarks from John Chiang, the California State Treasurer, and Bao Nguyen, the first Vietnamese and openly gay Mayor of Garden Grove, California.
